Q.Which ring is normally worn first on the finger, the wedding band or the engagement ring?
A.The engagement ring - one usually wears that about 6-8 months before they even get their wedding band. Seriously, it's been my experience that women commonly wear their wedding band "closest to their heart" which is first on your hand, followed by the engagement ring. You wear your engagement ring until the wedding. At the wedding, the bride usually wears the engagement ring on her right hand so the wedding band can be placed on the finger first (closest to your heart). The engagement ring is then placed on the finger on top of the wedding band.
