How many rings do you wear?
Q.I wear two. A diamond engagement ring (with wedding band) and a pink heart shaped sapphire on my other ring finger. I'd like to get at least one more but I'm worrying that my hands might go from delicate to gaudy. What number of rings can you wear before you cross that line from fashionable to tacky? Do you ever go into a jewelry store and the woman who comes to wait on you has every finger loaded down with really large clashing stones? Blah. Not that I mind a ring on every finger but you've gotta be able to still use your hands when they're on.
A.Currently, my engagement ring only, although my mother recently told me I need something on my right hand. I'm not sure why she said that...she doesn't wear much jewelry either. Wedding set on left hand, mothers type ring on right. This one recently got moved to the middle finger instead of the ring since I have lost some weight. I feel the same as you Sophie, one ring per hand is enough for me. I *can't* wear more than one on a hand, it drives me buggers. I wear one ring every day since my 18th birthday: a small silver ring without any stones. My two best friends have got the same ring - we got it for each other as birthday present. it has an insccription inside saying "zum 18. von S. and T." means to your 18th from Sarah and Tina. Although i wear only one I still think wearing several rings can look beautyful if they are not too large and not on every finger. I got a nice ring after I had Patrick that is supposed to be our engagement ring (even though we eloped and were never engaged - lol) but it's too much for everyday. When I do wear it when we go out it gets caught on stuff. Can't imagine wiping noses and changing diapers with my *fancy* ring on. Lol. Actually I would like to get new platinum wedding bands. Right now our rings don't even match. When Dylan wears his it's the gold one we used when we got married and I wear a silver Celtic ring we got sometime after we were married (he has one too and used to wear it as his wedding ring too).
