My second online poker experience.
Q.for various reasons, the play is different online. the reasons are numerous and diverse, but net, the type of hands you talk about are much more likely to be seen at PP than in real life play, and the reasons for this have nothing to do with programming. my experiences online and in "real" life are not outside the expected norm in either venue. i have played well over a thousand hours at PP and a great many times that amount of time, in real life. i guess my experiences are just unusual?
A.One limper and I loose call 3 UTG. Everyone calls; we're 8-handed to a flop of K-4-4. The limper bets into me, I smooth call, 6 of us see the turn, which I think is a Q. Bettor bets, I smooth call again, and three of us see the river. The old bettor checks and I bet, get called by both players and take it down with the nuts. this online poker stuff ain't so bad. You can check the Deja archives. I've long been one of those people who've said it's safe to play poker for money online. I truly believed that all the bad beats everyone was witnessing/experiencing were just statistical anomalies and bankroll withdrawls and loose play. But with four improbable hands like this...well, let's just say I definitely don't foresee playing online poker for money in the future very soon. I swear that there has been no embellishment or exaggeration of the preceding hands. They all happened today as described to the best of my ability. I think they speak quite clearly for themselves.
