Diamond Stud Earrings .
Q.I'm thinking about going to my local jewellers and getting my ears pierced with a small pair of Diamond Stud Earrings . If you saw a man in a club wearing a pair of earrings, would you notice or not? Would you be tempted to comment? Do any of the readers of this group do ear piercing as part of their job? If so, on how many men have you pierced both ears?
A.I went with my ex when he got his ear pierced. He got a tiny diamond in his ear, then after a few weeks he got a small gold hoop which looked better on him then the diamond did. I happen to like the look on guys as long as it's tasteful and not too punkish or biker looking. I have 4 holes in each ear and I usually wear three small studs and a pair of hoops. I can't wear gold, I'm allergic to it so I can wear the cheap earrings as well as silver. I think a lot of this is regional, so you're probably better off canvasing some women in your area, but FWIW, I say no to diamonds on men. It's not that they're too feminine; it's that they're too slimy in a big-gold-medallion-balding-in-a-sports-car kind of way. My husband had one ear pierced as a teen in the Eighties and the hole is still visible although he no longer wears an earring. Everybody was doing it then so he did it too. (That and growing his hair long and being in a highschool band.)
