Gold Diamond Cut Necklace.
Q.I view jewelry as a fashion accessory and would find it interesting if this were a thread. Sometimes posters say they have on the usual jewelry - but what is that? Do you always wear your wr? Also current, ethnic or antique items that complement an outfit would be of interest. today I am wearing a yellow gold filagree band ring with moderate size tanzite and 2 small diamonds.
A.wore a pair of perfect gold hoops and gold ball studs in my ears, gold ruby and diamond ring that is in an unusual cross pave' design, amethyst solitaire mounted in an antique filigree setting, an 18kt gold pantera link gucci wristwatch, and on my shoulder, my favorite fall brooch... gold leaves (antiqued) with golden topaz stones sprinkled between. I often say I don't wear any, since I never remove what I call my "usual jewelry". The U.J. includes: my wedding ring (plain 18K gold band); my signet ring I received as a gift from my parents when I made my confirmation (18K gold); a thin-from-wear wedding band I bought at a pawn shop many years ago, worn on the same finger as the signet ring (18K gold); a delicate 18" long 18K gold necklace, with links like tiny boxes; a pair of yes! you guessed it! 18K hoops, about 1.5" in outside diameter. Most days (not all), I also wear my great-grandmother's wedding ring, which fits either baby finger, and is a 20K gold band, which looks like a wreath of leaves with platinum apples nestled in. The finer details are rubbed away, of course. I love jewelry, and as must be obvious, wear mostly gold. Silver somehow doesn't "go" with my coloring. I wear my engagement ring often, but not always (emerald cut emerald, flanked by two diamonds, set in gold). I also have and wear three strands of cultured pearls (matched size round, 16"; opera length baroque; and 18" black, graduated). My husband gives me a string of costume pearls every year for Christmas - some are very good costume quality, some look like pop beads. I wear these in multiple strands and combinations. I do have some other pieces, mostly gold and precious/semi-precious stones, and antiques glass beads. And the emerald earrings and pin my mother-in-law gave me when she de-accessioned some of her jewelry.
