No longer "Plus-sized" ?
Q.Oh, happy day!! Went shopping today...Out of habit went to the women's plus size department. Everything looked too big. Walked over to the "regular" clothes and was thrilled to find that I am a size 14, and can put on a size 12 (not yet suitable for public viewing in those though). My goal was to be a size 10 but now maybe I am thinking an 8 would be do-able! I was a size 18, 1X, XL just 6 weeks ago. Amazing!( My husband had difficulty understanding what that meant size-wise so I told him- imagine you wore a men's 38(he does)...then suddenly realized you had slimmed down to a 34 and could put on a 32? )
A.What surprises me, is lately when I'm standing around and casually put my hand on my hip, I am amazed over and over that there's not a big fat pad there anymore. When I stand in front of the mirror, my belly no longer hangs down pendously (just a gut bump now). I can see my clavicle bones! My shoulders are becoming defined! My diamond ring is so loose the diamond keeps falling to the side of my finger. I'm getting cheek bones again and losing the double chin. These are the changes that amaze me most of all!! My wedding ring can't be resized (It's a fully engraved band) and is now about two sizes too big. I found these ring guards and they are awesome. You can't really see it since it goes on the inside bottom of the band, and it makes me feel a lot less afraid that I'll lose my ring. They are especially good "interim" sizers if you are waiting to have a ring sized till you lose more weight.
