Diamond Huggy Earring .
Q.I've been so lazy about my jewelry lately. I had on a pair of gold/diamond huggy earrings for about 3 years straight before recently changing them (one had fallen off and I didn't find it for a day or two). Does anyone else have "default jewelry" -- the jewelry you wear when you're just sort of casual, and that seems to go okay with most of what you wear?
A.Most of the time, if I'm really going casual, my default jewelry is simply the earrings that are always in my left ear (CBR at top, small diamond stud and then small gold hoop) and the diamond stud in my nostril. Nothing else, not even my wedding band (because I find I have to take it off and put it on too many times during the course of the day w/cooking/cleaning/etc.). If I'm going out someplace, I wear my 3-diamond ring and my anniversary band and that's usually it for rings. My favorite earrings are simple gold hoops, about 1/2" in diameter. The diamond stud in the top hole on the right ear always stays in. It's not big and showy, and doesn't hurt when I sleep, so it's been there for, well, years. I have a pair of Huggy earrings with tiny diamonds in them that I wear almost exclusively as they are neutral and won't fall out. I've gotten very lazy about changing earrings, and these I can put on and forget about. I ask at every jewelry store I go in to if they carry Huggies, or any earring of that design, and very few do. The ones that *do* carry only one or two boring designs. I would love to find a 'lacy' yellow gold pair, very close to the ear, but have not yet run across them, and don't even know if Huggies come in such a design.
