Diamond Eternity Necklace.
Q.I've never met a teenaged boy who could afford a flashy diamond engagement or anniversary ring. so who knows who the heck they think the audience is??
A.I was watching a documentary on the De beers family a while back and did you know that they own most of the diamond mines in the world? And this is the crazy thing, diamonds are so prolific in this world, that they would cost about $20.00 at a store if the De Beers family would release all of the diamonds that they have. But it said in this documentary, that the family controls the number of diamonds put into the world market to keep the prices so high. That just flips me out to know that diamonds, in reality, aren't that rare and if not for some family, they would cost relatively little. (I guess the whole diamond not being rare thing makes sense though, I mean they are made from coal(carbon) and God knows we have an abundance of coal on this planet. And they are the ones who keep coming up with the anniversary rings, and the eternity band etc. so that even after you've bought that engagement ring, you'll be looking for diamonds later on. They just make those things up, like for the 10th anniversary, you get a diamond ring or something. And most of the American market(don't know about the rest of the world) buys these "must-have" anniversary myths. I like jewellery, I must admit, but not the fancy stuff; I wear one large diamond ring that was my mother's, a small diamond "eternity" band that was a gift from my husband, a stainless steel watch, and a three-ring necklace. My wedding ring is a plain gold band. and I have a diamond and emerald necklace. I bought it to match her diamond and emerald eternity ring.
