A.I know that the "Right Hand Ring" or RHR has been all the rage lately. However...I don't see the HUGE deal. I have been wearing rings on that hand and THAT finger since I was 13. I never thought I was making a statement...just wearing jewelry. I alternate between: Tanzanite and diamond 3-stone ring; Emerald Cut Emerald and Diamond three stone; Vintage .75 crarat european cut diamond engagement ring; and a cushion cut ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. I have many others...but I don't want to bore anyone. I guess I just feel like this is a ploy by the marketing people to sell more diamonds. Absolutely, and it may succeed in doing that. The message I take away from the ads I've seen is an effort to make a woman feel 'empowered' by buying herself a right hand ring. I've worn rings on my right hand for as long as I can remember, and don't hesitate to buy a ring I like. I've never felt empowered doing this, but if the industry can pull off this notion then I guess more power to them. What offends me about these ads is the implication that you are not allowed to wear the darn ring on your *left* hand, if you so desire.
