Q.Did anyone see this evening's 6 o'clock news article about the party for child cancer sufferers hosted by Charles & Camilla? They actually went to the expense of buying a whole packet of chocolate biscuits for the poor kids and I'll bet they were really proud of their efforts. When do we get rid of these parasites? Personally, I wouldn't let a child near him, with his (alleged) track record.
A.Quite right - I think sometimes his critics seem to lay all the faults of the world at C's door, deserved or otherwise. It is also worth pointing out that the press reports state that it was the children (being treated at a Welsh hospital) who wrote to C asking if they could help decorate his Christmas tree. While no doubt then used for a degree of PR, it is hardly the stunt derided by those for whom C can do no right. Perhaps some should consider the impact of the visit would have on the children themselves. Criticise the monarchy if you like but they do provide "memorable" occasions for children who deserve a little bit of joy in their lives. I suspect the kids themselves don't share the cynical attitude we adults(?) feel free to express.And there wasn't a diamond in sight. She wore a pearl necklace with an amethyst clasp.
