Amethyst And Diamond Bracelet

A.Count me in as preferring colored stones. I have a ruby in my wedding set (well, and a few tiny diamonds, but they're hardly noticable). The only diamonds I wear with any regularity are the ones I inherited from my grandmother and mother, and I wear those more for sentimentality than because I'd have chosen them for myself (not that I'm complaining, mind you). My children's birthstones are amethyst, peridot, and ruby. I was actually sort of hoping that Genevieve would show up in June, because I think amethyst, peridot, and pearls go together better. On the other hand, I think it's really cool that Genevieve was born on the 4th of July and her, DH's, and my birthstones are red (ruby), white (diamond) and blue (sapphire). To commemorate her birth, I got her a charm for her charm bracelet that has three bezel set stones (looks a little like a snowman) with a ruby, white sapphire, and blue sapphire. The little beastie has one heck of a charm bracelet--she has that charm, a set of charms that include two sapphires and my mother's engagement diamond, a wee Italian 18k christening medal, a gold thong sandal (from my sister's last trip to Hawaii)....I'm going to have to get the darned thing insured! I am so excited about commemorating her special events with charms, though. I'm already thinking about what sort of charm to do for her first birthday.
