3/4 carat diamond solitaire ring
Q.This ring was given to me by my grandmother who had the diamond of her sister's wedding ring re-set into this beautiful 14k gold and platinum setting. The diamond has been cut in the Star pattern and the carity is perfect. This is a simple and elegant ring and has been lovingly protected by me. The ring was reset by Birks and I also have the sterling silver cup box that it came in. Im heartsick to sell it but am desperate for funds. In 1989 my grandmother had the ring appraised - it was appraised at $1,300.00 Im asking for $700.00 for the ring. A.buyer beware! a ring appraised at $1300 will normally retail, brand new, for $650 at your local jewelry store. it is common practice for jewelers to provide, at the time of purchase, an appraisal for twice the amount that you paid. Did price of diamonds go up or down since 1989? you may want to get an answer to that question also. I want to thank the two of you very much; the next time you try and sell something on this site I will do the same to you. How dare you make me look like a bad person and WHO ARE YOU TO SAY BUYER BEWAR. The diamond alone is of a cut that is no longer done and it is from an antique ring. You know nothing about who I am either. I have sold on this site and bought from this site for a long time now. There are reasons for people to sale off their treasured posessions with a lot of sentimental value put on them. I hope one day you are in the same position as I am. You both are lower than scum and a waste of human flesh!
