Q.I am familiar with the 4 Cs. The price range that you said : 4-6 lacs, is that range valid for buying the diamond necklace in US too? I live in the NJ area. Does anyone know a reliable and 'affordable' diamond necklace dealers?
A.I have not bought a necklace here in US. I would buy an Indian design necklace in the Indian jewellers but again I am not familiar with buying diamonds in Indian shops in US. The price range actually I meant 2-6 lakhs Rs, I am thinking you should be able to find in the same range here. Since you are going to be buying an expensive piece make sure the person you are buying for likes it. If you are planning as a surprise make sure the jeweller will exchange it. My wife has been saying over the past 2 years that she wants diamond earrings. And I have refused everytime and bought rubies, gold and other stuff. But was scared about diamonds since they are too expensive and I can be fooled easily. Finally I have made up my mind to surprise her by taking her to the store one day and get her a diamond necklace. I cannot put a price to the happiness that will be on her face. I gave my fiancee a diamond pendant necklace. The chain is a 14kt gold goochy, and the diamond is a 1kt in a 14kt gold setting. I had it made by a custom jeweler. (Also, she got a out-of-town, out-of-state Hooters white tank top.) And finally, a few days ago, I gave her a ride in my limo. I didn't rent one, I went out and bought one, but I was too cheap to get a showfer, so I had to drive.
