Carat Stud Earring.
Q.For the 5 year anniversary of when we met, I got a 1 carat marquios(sp?) diamond with a wrap around channel of .1 dimonds inside and out. The other half is kind of a "floral spray" setting with .25 emeralds fanning out. And like you I am not a jewelry person. My daily jewerly consists of stud earrings (cute little diamond and emerald wreaths) and two chain anklets.
A.I'm another person who isn't into jewelry. On a daily basis, I wear my wedding band and engagement ring (1/2 carat diamond) and pearl stud earrings. I also have a plain silver cross that I wear almost all of the time. I happen to have a bad habit of losing earrings. Even if I could afford real diamond earrings I wouldn't buy them. I have many many pairs of CZ stud earrings (all different sizes), and EVERYONE who sees them thinks that they are REAL. Since I have bench jeweler skills and I'm not snob I made them myself for dirt cheap. 1 pair of 6.50mm round stones (equivalant in size to 1 carat diamonds) set in 14k gold prong settings cost me about $14 wholesale to make!in silver the cost is about a third of that, and they look like they are set in white gold .
